The Documentary Film Process

Pre-Production Phase: Meet with your team, discuss goals and story ideas, prepare the creative brief which includes the story treatment and plan, start scheduling shoots.

Production Phase: Capture primary interview footage based on creative brief and story treatment, capture supporting b-roll, continued research and archive media assembly.

Post Production Phase: Backup and assemble all footage, paper edit process to map out primary story, further assembly and editing including color, sound, visuals and 3 rounds of revisions.
